Zwift Plan: Day 1 (September 9)

Zwift Day 1 starts today.
I’m committing to getting on Zwift for at least one hour each day (excluding holidays and vacations). I don’t have a perfect start time yet, but the priority is consistency first — and I’ll lock in a more predictable time window as we go.

Zwift has a lot of cool stuff that keeps each day fun and unique: routes, workouts, training plans, goals, events, and more. One of the big milestones I want to chase is 100 Zwift Days — so let’s do that.

I’m going to document every Zwift ride right here in this category on TNRintheWild.org so we can grow together as a community.

The rules (so this actually works)

  • Minimum per Zwift Day: 1 hour
  • Preferred: Longer rides when life allows
  • Non-negotiable: When I’m on Zwift (and when I’m cycling in general), I’m 100% not available for anything else
  • Why: Cycling is my happy place — and it’s not getting disrupted anymore
  • Reality check: We go above and beyond in business, but almost nothing is urgent enough to override having a life. Server outages are basically the only exception, and those are rare.

How “Zwift Days” are counted

We’re not counting calendar days automatically like “Day 2, Day 3, Day 4.”

Zwift Day 2 is simply the next day I’m on Zwift.

September goals

September is a big one:

  • 1,000 miles pedaled this month
  • I’m aiming for 20 Zwift Days during the remainder of September on top of my morning cycling

Streaming + outdoor ride content

My goal is to stream each Zwift ride on our Twitch channel. Right now, I don’t have an absolute time frame — but once the stream schedule stabilizes, I’ll post it and keep it consistent.

For outdoor cycling, I’m filming rides and trips and turning them into content for Patreon and YouTube:

Long-term, I want to grow Twitch into a Zwift fitness channel and community. And next year, I’m planning to start gravel bike racing — right now it’s about building strength and endurance back up and then pushing forward.

How this gets funded (and a real thank you)

The tools, gear, and platform upgrades needed for indoor training and outdoor cycling will be funded through Patreon supporters, Twitch supporters, YouTube supporters, and tips — so thank you to everyone already supporting what I’m building. You’re literally helping make this whole “nutty cycling life” possible.
